Race Summary

  Adventurous AF is an amazing  5K course. These trails are rugged, brutal and beautiful. Sparta Glen Park is not a very big trail network but we managed to put together a tough course that will get you +820ft of elevation gain per loop. You can choose to sign up for a single 5 km loop or go for as many loops as possible in 6 hours. We will have special milestone awards for individuals that complete 7 laps(35K) and 10 laps(50K) in 6 hours

Check In: 7:00am 

6 Hour Start Time: 8:00am

Cut-Off: 2:00pm - No new laps can be started

Pursuit Lap Cut-off: 2:45pm - Final Lap must be completed before this time.

5K Start Time: 9:00am

Final Cut-Off: 2:00pm

Course Details

 5K course is a loop up, down and around Sparta Glen Park. There is rugged single track , a few groomed wide trail sections and a small section of road. Each loop has +820ft of elevation gain. There is a great view of Mohawk Lake once you reach the summit. 

Racers will check in and out at the Ramada start/finish area after each lap and before heading back out on the course.  

6 Hour Course Detail

The idea is "simple", run as many 5K course laps as you can in 6 hours. However, we are running slightly different than most timed events. As long as you are in pursuit of a lap before the 6 hour cut-off and finish it by 2:45pm, it will count. What that means is you can start your final lap at 1:59pm but once again you must finish by 2:45pm for it to count.

We will have special milestone awards for individuals that complete 7 laps(35K) and 10 laps(50K) in 6 hour category.

Things to Note

• Racers can receive crew support at the Ramada start/finish area only.
• Drop bags are only allowed at the Ramada start/finish area.  
• Pacers are not allowed. 
• We will have one aid station at the Ramada start/finish area.
• There will be no aid stations on course
